Mercedes Benz Stadium
The iconic stadium is 2,000,000 SF, reaches 30 stories high, with a 14.5 acre roof, and can seat up to 75,000 spectators. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope commissioning (BECx) services including design recommendations and on-site construction review. The unique “petal roof” closing mechanism (similar to a camera shutter) was made possible due to the light-weight ETFE roofing materials. Traditional roofing materials would have added too much weight for the moving trusses to function properly. (Atlanta, GA)
Georgia State University Research Science Center
The high-performance university research building includes five stories of innovative space for active learning. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services including the review of assemblies, materials and detailing. The exterior design of the building invites students to complete work while circulating cool air and natural light for equipment purposes. (Atlanta, GA)
Atlanta Botanical Gardens
The Conservatory is a 23,000 SF precast concrete structure, with a glass curtain wall enclosure. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services including peer and design review of the roofing and precast concrete repair work. The ecological, translucent roof on the building was an important feature, as it allows the indoor garden to flourish. (Atlanta, GA)
The 685,000 SF mixed-use space is a new highlight in the Alpharetta community. Its tenants include Microsoft offices, an Apple retail store, and 276 residential units. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services including the review of exterior glazing, above grade wall assemblies, waterproofing and roof assemblies. (Alpharetta, GA)
Jane Woodruff Hall at Woodward Academy
The new three-story, 101,000 SF educational facility includes a 157-seat lecture hall, collaboration space and state-of-the-art classrooms. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services for the envelope assemblies, materials, and detailing. The LEED® Gold certified structure is topped with an energy-efficient TPO membrane roof that has created a healthier environment for its students and faculty. (College Park, GA)
Terminus 100 and 200
The Terminus development includes two high rise office buildings reaching 25 and 27 stories with a parking deck and condominium tower in between them. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope services including the testing and inspection of air barriers, exterior glazing and JAMCO curtain wall system. We worked closely with our client to ensure the successful completion of the project was on time. (Atlanta, GA)
Residing in the heart of Buckhead, the 19-story residential tower is part of a larger layer complex.
