Chilliwack Organic Waste Transfer Station

Morrison Hershfield was part of the design-build team that assessed options for Chilliwack’s new transfer station at the Bailey Landfill site. The facility has the capacity to receive up to 25,000 - 30,000 tons of organic waste per year for transfer to a processing facility. (Chilliwack, BC)

Coquitlam Transfer Station & Drop-Off Facility

Coquitlam’s new facility has capacity to process 600 tons per day. Our team provided the programming, design and construction administration for the unique transfer station project, constructed on top of an existing landfill. It offers both residential recycling and garbage drop-off for self-haul customers and large vehicle commercial and municipal garbage transfer. (Coquitlam, BC)

First Nations Community Transfer Station

The new Good Hope Lake transfer station provides the flexibility and storage needed to accommodate municipal solid waste and recyclables. We provided the assessment, planning, design and construction administration for the project, using local contractors where possible to maximize the economic benefits to this First Nations community. (Good Hope Lake, BC)

Church Road Transfer Station

The capacity of the facility was expanded and the collection of organic waste was added during a project that included integrated design including sustainability (LEED), commissioning, energy modeling and environmental consultation (Nanaimo, BC)
