The City of Surrey sought to complete an anaerobic digestion-based biofuel plant. Our team provided engineering and project management for the design-build project including permitting, odour dispersion modeling, site plans, and mechanical, electrical and civil design. (Surrey, BC)

 

Mixed-Waste Processing Facility

Pre-FEED (Front End Engineering Design) study to identify a suitable technology for source-separated organic and mixed waste handling that would deliver energy recovery from organics and divert waste from landfills. (Tri-Municipal Region, AB)

 

Yukon Waste to Energy Feasibility Study and Environmental Assessment

The study examined the feasibility for of a waste to energy system that would handle 25,000 tons per year of municipal solid waste and 7,000 tons per year of wood waste as fuel, generating an estimated 1.3 MW of energy. (Yukon)

 

Construction and Demolition Waste Processing

A study was conducted that evaluated options to process and convert construction and demolition waste into fuel for use by local cement kilns. Morrison Hershfield conducted the study that assessed processing methods and laid the groundwork for conceptual planning of a pilot facility that could be implemented. (Vancouver, BC)
