Data Centers on the Edge is a half day event in Atlanta, GA, that explores the edge. Our keynote speaker Jason Green of  Element Critical will explain how “edge” data centers are shifting the paradigms of the traditional data center landscape. Engage in the conversation with our moderated panel of industry professionals followed by a networking reception. Our keynote and panelists are drawn from the construction, equipment, engineering and architectural industries. This event is designed for senior executives, architects, consultants, researchers, engineering/technology professionals and data center and the colo/wholesale/cloud end-user community.

Meet Our Keynote:

Jason Green – Chief Technology Officer, Element Critical

Jason joined Element Critical with 15+ years of hands-on and management experience in the technology and data center industries. He has worked with, and for, all sizes of companies. From startups to Fortune 500’s, Jason relates data center infrastructure to comprehensive IT and business solutions. Prior to joining Ken Parent to launch Element Critical in 2016, Jason successfully built businesses and mission-critical teams in solutions engineering, managed services, engineering, operations, construction, security, and corporate strategy for multiple private and provider-based data centers globally.

Jason co-founded Vantage Data Centers in Santa Clara, CA, creating and running engineering, operations, construction, solutions engineering, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He assisted organizations in leading the delivery of four net-new Tier 3+ facilities and 50MW+ of customer solutions in 24 months. Subsequent to Vantage, Jason served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at both Sentinel Data Centers and Gexpro (Rexel USA) before co-founding a boutique data center, IT, and energy consultation firm performing over $10BN of data center acquisition assessments in 2016. Jason has also led managed services and solutions engineering for FusionStorm, directed solutions engineering for RagingWire Enterprise Data Center Solutions, and ran global IT operations and disaster recovery for Gap Inc.

 Meet Our Panelists:

Sean Smith, P.Eng. – Principal and Director of Business Development, Morrison Hershfield

Sean is a Principal with Morrison Hershfield and has been at the firm for almost 20 years. He has worked in both Canada and the U.S.  In his role, Sean is part of the leadership team for Mission Critical Facilities and is involved in business development, general management, project management, design, analysis, field review, and construction management for a wide variety of data center, telecommunications and other critical facility projects.

Dustin Smith – Project Director, Brasfield & Gorrie

As project director, Dustin serves at the helm of Brasfield & Gorrie’s most complex projects and takes primary responsibility for client satisfaction. He is an expert at overseeing mission critical projects and ensuring that clients’ needs are met before, during, and after projects. He is experienced in working with many owners, sources of funding, and stakeholders concurrently to deliver first-rate facilities on time and within budget. Dustin uses his extensive mission critical construction knowledge to guide the project team through the design and construction process. He supports project management and field personnel, helping to develop accurate budgets, reliable schedules, and efficient plans during preconstruction and to ensure that those plans are executed with precision in the field.

Hussam Haroun, P.Eng. – Chief Innovation & Technology Officer, Cinnos Mission Critical Inc. 

Hussam is the Chief Innovation & Technology Officer of Cinnos Mission Critical Incorporated, leading product development, research & development, and fulfillment. He is also responsible for establishing global strategic partnerships. As the Co-Founder of Cinnos Mission Critical Incorporated, Hussam developed an innovative micro datacenter architecture called the Smart Mission Critical X during his Master’s program at McMaster University, which has been deployed in 3 different continents to date. Hussam is a licensed Professional Engineer registered in Ontario and has designed and built multi-million dollar projects in over 100 data centers since 2008.

Johnny Hembree, AIA, LEED AP, NCIDQ – Principal & Vice President, Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects

Mr. Hembree is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a registered architect in multiple states and is also a registered Interior Designer.  As a Principal and Vice President at POH Architects, Johnny oversees the firm’s mission critical facilities, office, interiors and healthcare projects. He is a recognized leader in the design of mission critical facilities across the country and manages large, technically complex projects. Johnny has been in the mission critical industry for over 20 years designing more than 3-million square feet of white across the country and internationally. He currently serves on the Board for the 7×24 Exchange Atlanta Chapter.
