Morning Start Activity:
Organizer: Veronica Bartlett, Morrison Hershfield | October 26, 6:30am – 7:45am
Plogging is a sustainable initiative coming from Sweden, which combines jogging (or walking) with caring for the environment. This is a growing movement across the globe and we want to bring it to the CWMA conference. Fancy joining us?
This is our second year that we mobilize Ploggers. We provide gloves, buckets and litter pickers. You just need to bring comfortable shoes and a head lamp.
I’m with the Ban: Are Waste Bans Working in BC?
Moderator: Veronica Bartlett, Morrison Hershfield | October 27, 8:35am – 9:45am | Main Hall In-Person / EventMobi Virtual
From landfill bans to plastic bags — bans are happening everywhere. Are they working? This will be a big discussion to help guide your planning for similar (or different) ideas for effective diversion.
