Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) 2016 Fall Conference

Join transit industry colleagues for an opportunity hear expert speakers on various topics relating to “Inspiring Sustainable Change”.

Morrison Hershfield will have two representatives present in this years program. We will also be participating in the Transit Tradeshow on Tuesday November 8th. Please take note of the sessions Morrison Hershfield will be leading, and visit us at booth #903 to speak with our transit specialists.

Integrating Rail Rapid Transit in Urban Communities – Paul Croft, Morrison Hershfield

An overview of challenges and opportunities involved in integrating rail rapid transit projects into urban communities. This presentation will outline three key elements important to integrating rail transit projects into our urban communities: Mobility, Design, and Placemaking

Railconnect Pavilion Presentations

Freight to LRT – Serge Lavigne, Morrison Hershfield

Addresses the opportunities present in existing but underused or abandoned rail infrastructures that can be converted to LRT type of service. This allows Cities or private investors to quickly and at relatively modest costs to start a pilot project and grow the system over time.
