Electrical Commissioning in Mission Critical – Guide to Data Center Success
January 10, 2017 at 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm EST
Senior Electrical Engineer David Jorgensen is presenting a quality talk on electrical system commissioning in the mission critical environment for the Eastern Canada Chapter of Building Commissioning Association (BCA).
The reliability and optimization of the modern data center has become of more and more importance in the world today. With data center downtime potentially costing corporations millions of dollars per hour in lost revenue, it is paramount that the reliability of a data center is preserved in ensuring that redundancies and failure recoveries built into the design will actually work when implemented in the field. This month’s presentation on commissioning in the mission critical environment will focus on the commissioning of electrical infrastructure in the data center.
The first part of the presentation will highlight why data center commissioning is so vital, while the second part of the presentation will outline the process of performing electrical commissioning in the data center, along with some real-world scenarios and lessons learned.
David Jorgensen has over 18 years of design, peer review, and commissioning experience, both nationally and internationally in the design and installation of critical electrical power systems. With experience designing and commissioning critical electrical systems reflecting Uptime Tier III and Tier IV configurations, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
