Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) Forum 2017 – Richmond Hill, ON

The focus of the forum is “Route to Innovation” and transit industry professionals from all over North America attend this event. Embracing Change and Aligning A Company’s Culture to Attract and Retain Emerging Leaders

Monday, November 6 at 9:30AM to 11:00AM – Session 2: We believe that the wheel needs to be reinvented in the traditional work place to attract and keep today’s emerging leaders. The baseline of what motivates young talent has changed. This presentation provides first hand insight in to what organizations can do to increase productivity and create a successful working environment. 

Our Presenters:

Hermien Venter, Manager, Transit Design

With over 25 years of progressive experience, Hermien has successfully lead multi-discipline teams and has coordinated work to achieve a cohesive product employing synchronized information from her entire team. She is recognized for leading & developing large teams of people to successfully deliver quality and projects as per scope, schedule and cost.

Tristan Hogan, Project Engineer, Utilities

A civil engineer who graduated from McGill University in 2010, Tristan has since been involved in large scale design-build transportation projects. Tristan’s project based experience has provided him the opportunity to build relationships with numerous stakeholders, manage subcontractors and consultants, and deliver large scopes of work in fast pace environments.

Rebecca Stanzeliet, Project Coordinator, Transit Design

A Civil Engineering graduate from McGill University working towards her Professional Engineer designation. Rebecca has primarily worked on transit infrastructure projects, where she has learned to develop solid relationships with stakeholders as well as the client. She has also gained experience in transit design and continues to diversify and build her engineering work experience.
