2017 Ottawa Wood Conference: Building Enclosure Design and Best Practices for Mid-Rise Buildings

Jamie McKay, Building Science Specialist, will be presenting Building Enclosure Design and Best Practices for Mid-Rise Buildings at the annual Ottawa Wood Conference.

This presentation focuses on the design of high-performance mid-rise, wood-framed buildings in Canada. The presenter will focus on best practices for improving air leakage, moisture control, thermal bridging and energy efficiency (Code to Passive House), and discuss newer guidelines, building materials and components introduced to assist designers achieve higher performance.

The Ottawa Wood Conference is the premiere Wood Construction Education event in Ontario. The conference brings together a full day of educational sessions on topics such as: Cross Laminated Structural Timber, Acoustics in Wood Construction and Tall Wood Demonstration Projects.
