Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive Culture
Morrison Hershfield’s diverse and inclusive teams positively impact our performance and our organizational effectiveness. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council, made up of employee volunteers, assists with strengthening and implementing our corporate DEI Strategy.
Our Performance Matters
We track our DEI performance regularly. We measure our performance with staff surveys, our Employee Net Promoter Score and by examining employee demographics.
DEI Advisory Council
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council is made up of employee volunteers and co-chaired by two leaders from our senior management team. Throughout the year the Advisory Council helps identify, prioritize and organize various DEI-themed events, panel discussions, educational resources and training. Committee membership changes every 12 – 18 months to provide an opportunity for more employees to take an active role in advancing the company’s DEI Strategy.
Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business
Morrison Hershfield is a member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and actively pursuing Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Certification. We are committed to furthering our own knowledge and understanding of unique Indigenous cultures, needs and concerns and to exploring mutually beneficial employment and business opportunities. We are strengthening existing relationships and building new ones as we continue to take positive and concrete steps on our collective journey toward reconciliation.
Employer Champion
We are determined to increase female representation within the engineering profession. We continue our partnership with Professional Engineers Ontario to help drive Engineers Canada’s 30 by 30 initiative. We maintain our commitment to equity and inclusiveness in the workplace and the world.
