Andrew Harkness, PMP, ENV SP – Director, Environmental
Andrew is a Principal and Director with Morrison Hershfield (MH). He specializes in Environmental Assessment planning and in managing multi-disciplinary project teams on a range of complex transportation and transit projects. Andrew is a PMP, is certified as an ENVISION Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and is providing a lead role within MH in the areas of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.
Clark Gunter, M.Sc., ENV SP, P.Geo. – Environment and Sustainability Specialist
Clark has more than 25 years of experience in developing policies, plans and procedures for environmental management and sustainability in both the public and private sectors. He is a recognized leader in sustainability for infrastructure. He has developed national sustainability guides for roads and bridges for the Transportation Association of Canada and climate change risk assessment guides for Environment and Climate Change Canada. He has undertaken Envision sustainability reviews and applications for a variety of transit projects including California High Speed Rail and Hurontario Light Rail Transit. He has been a guest lecturer at Waterloo University for sustainability in infrastructure and helped develop sustainability courses at Seneca Collage.
Clarke is a Professional Geoscientist and holds a Bachelor and Masters of Science in Physical Geography from Queen’s University. He is an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and Verifier.
Jason MacDonald, P.Eng., PMP – Project Manager, Construction
Jason MacDonald is a Project Manager with the Toronto Transit Commission’s Construction Department. In his 25-year career, Jason has led TTC’s subway track maintenance team, provided technical leadership as Chief Track Engineer for the Transit City LRT Program, and has led multi-discipline teams in the delivery of a wide variety of infrastructure projects at TTC’s bus maintenance facilities.
Recently, Jason completed the McNicoll Bus Garage, a new maintenance and storage facility for over 250 buses in Scarborough and TTC’s 8th such facility.
Jason is a graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now Dalhousie University), a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, and Project Management Professional.
Katie Hamilton – Senior Leader and Strategic Communicator
Katie is a recognized senior leader and strategic communicator. Her professional interest is helping public serving organizations change how they do business, how they involve their communities, and how they engage their staff in creating cultures that support positive change and deliver high value services.
Katie’s experience spans all levels of government, supporting transit and transportation planning, infrastructure and sustainability, land-use and waste management, health, social services, and educational issues.
Prior to starting Tavola Strategy Group in 2016, Katie worked as a senior public sector leader for over 15 years, leading broad service areas including strategic and operational planning, communications and citizen engagement, open government initiatives and media relations.
