(Whistler, BC)

Landfill Closure Monitoring & Management

Morrison Hershfield was retained by Township of North Stormont to conduct the annual monitoring program at two closed Waste Disposal Site, the closed Roxborough site and the closed Finch site. The key objectives of the monitoring program include assessing the potential for impact of the waste disposal sites on the surrounding surface water and assessing the potential migration of landfill impacted groundwater by evaluating that the leachate indicator parameters met regulatory guidelines. Inspection of the site, and maintenance and repair of monitoring wells as needed are also conducted during each monitoring event. (North Stormont, ON)

Landfill Environmental Monitoring & Annual Reporting

Morrison Hershfield is responsible for preparing solid waste annual reports for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, which include surface water, groundwater and leachate monitoring programs. The annual reports provide an overview of landfill operations and remedial action plans. (Municipality of the Wood Buffalo, AB)
