Collin College Technical Campus
The new Collin College Technical Campus includes four buildings totaling 340,000 SF with an 160,000 SF underground parking structure. Three of the four buildings are constructed on top of the garage. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services for this innovative project that embraces renewable resources through the installation of a solar PV system, a solar hot water system, condensate reclaim system, rainwater harvesting and daylight harvesting to utility usage. (Allen, TX)
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple
The Dallas Texas Temple, with a low-sloped roof surrounding a tower that extends up through the roof, was experiencing moisture issues. Morrison Hershfield undertook a building envelope review to evaluate the general condition of the exposed building envelope components, determine the potential origin of the moisture, provide recommendations and options for remediation. I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM & Visual Performing Arts
The I.M. Terrell Academy is home to a diverse group of STEM and visual and performing arts students and a performance venue for the City. This project celebrates the campus’s heritage by combining the renovation of two historic buildings with the construction of an entirely new, 65,000 SF performing arts center, clad with brick veneer, insulated metal panels, glazed curtain wall and single-ply TPO roofing. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services. (Fort Worth, TX)
AMLI Fountain Place Residences
The 45-story Fountain Place Residences tower is the tallest building constructed in Dallas in over 30 years. The tower’s distinctive design entails a sloped curtain wall with seven levels of above grade parking, an 18,000 SF roof deck with a vegetated, parklike setting, and its cladding is inspired by the adjacent tower. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services. (Dallas, TX)
