Royal Alberta Museum

Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope commissioning (BECx) services for the Government of Alberta, including LEED Durability Credit specialized services, expertise on integration of the envelope into the energy performance analysis and field testing services for key performance criteria. Liberty on Jasper

Originally an office building, this 11-story low-rise was transformed into a condominium with a total of 44 commercial and residential units. Morrison Hershfield is provided building envelope consulting services for the renovation including window replacements and concrete repairs. (Edmonton, AB)

 

JW Marriot & The Legends Private Residences

The 55-story JW Marriot Edmonton double towers had mock up testing for the curved glass completed in Shanghai, China to ensure its performance. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services including foundation wall, plaza, courtyard and terrace waterproofing, exterior glazing, above grade opaque exterior wall and roof assemblies, and 3D thermal analysis of the hybrid wall system. Ultima Tower Condominiums

The 33-story condominium tower in the downtown Edmonton Ice District features a double-glazed curtain wall glass system, ninth floor roof-top patio and individual unit balconies. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services including the design and construction review, testing of exterior glazing, opaque wall assemblies, main roof, deck and roof assemblies, and podium waterproofing. YWCA Banff Courtyard

The newly constructed three building, three-story YWCA Banff Courtyard will hold over 33 affordable apartment units constructed of shipping containers. Morrison Hershfield is providing building envelope consulting services. The building will reach net-zero energy efficiency by incorporating innovative approaches such as high efficiency windows with an advanced building envelope, heat recovery system and solar voltaic system.
