Morrison Hershfield developed numerous solutions to support the appraisal and re-sale of the building including capital planning, retro-commissioning and consulting services to achieve LEED EB: O&M (LEED Canada 2009/v.4) Gold certification. Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital

The 215,000 SF healthcare facility provides a wide variety of medical services to southwestern Alberta. Morrison Hershfield provided building envelope consulting services for the 32,000 SF expansion and renovation including design review, energy modeling and building envelope commissioning. Building envelope durability issues were addressed early in the project so that appropriate value-based decisions could be made by the owners and designers. (Lethbridge, AB)


TELUS Convention Centre, Glenbow Museum and TELUS Spark

The three facilities collectively provide 1.2 million SF of flexible conference, event and exhibition space. Morrison Hershfield provided the City of Calgary with building envelope consulting services, fire, code and life safety assessments and a life cycle study for capital planning purposes. We worked with project stakeholders to ensure the specialized systems performed properly and reduced operating costs. (Calgary, AB)


City of Edmonton Energy Audits

Energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction opportunities were identified for a number of City of Edmonton government buildings including the Centennial Transit Garage, four fire stations, and the West Division Police Station. Our services included energy audits, energy modelling, IR scans, blower door testing and combustion testing. We aim to help the City achieve their short and long-term energy and GHG reduction goals. The 44-story condominium includes four levels of underground parking, floor to ceiling windows and extended balconies that provide solar shading.
