Humber College Buildings H + Nx
Morrison Hershfield is working with an architectural partner on a deep energy retrofit for these campus buildings. The role includes building envelope, mechanical, electrical, structural, code, and Passive House consulting services. Humber Nx is the first Passivhaus Institutional retrofit project design targeting an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of 64 kWh/m². This represents the lowest EUI for an institutional retrofit building recorded in North America.
The Livmore – Bay & Gerrard
Morrison Hershfield is providing building envelope, energy modeling, sustainability consulting, and measurement and verification services on this new 43-storey, 594-unit rental building.
Water Facility Assessments
Morrison Hershfield is conducting facility condition assessments including photography and infrared imagery by drones along with mapping the portfolio by Geographic Information Systems. The project includes over 700 buildings and structures.
Humber College Building N
Morrison Hershfield is involved in a deep energy retrofit on this campus building. We undertook a number of design services including assisting in the design of envelope recladding, structural upgrades to support the new envelope, energy modeling, and mechanical and electrical systems re-design.
Magna Hall – Seneca King College Campus Expansion
Morrison Hershfield provided LEED consulting and energy modelling services for the new three-storey 18,600 m² multiuse academic, student centre, and fitness facility targeting LEED Gold. The building design incorporates a highly thermally efficient envelope assembly including a thermal clip system and high efficiency double glazing.
