Steve Vinci, Principal and Senior Building Science Specialist, will be jointly presenting Commissioning Design Reviews for the Building Envelope at this year’s AIA National Conference. The session will take place on Saturday, April 29 at 2:30 p.m.
Overview:
Advances in building enclosure design are having an enormous impact on energy savings and client expectations. However, to optimize benefits you must understand and assess decisions far earlier in the planning process than most professionals do today.
This hands-on, highly interactive session will provide an overview of the standards relating to BECx. Full-wall elevation examples will show the transition from below grade to above grade and to the roof, with a focus on energy performance.
This seminar will help you understand enclosure barriers to ensure continuity and enhance your knowledge of envelope design to help you plan your next project.
